Regional information: Most Wanted Regions brings you a range of classic regional styles from around the world. Italy's Puglia region, situated in the heel of the country's boot, is basked in pretty much constant sunshine. Hot summers and mild Mediterranean winters result in rich, ripe wines with plenty of fruit flavour. Primitivo is a grape native to southern Italy and like it's American counterpart Zinfandel, can produce wines with sweet fruit flavours and high alcohol content.
Vinification: Following the harvest, the grapes were pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was bottled with no oak contact.
